December 2006: Holiday Party and Potluck Dinner! Bring whatever you want to share, be it food, computer parts, or just a happy face!

November 2006: AVMUG Election of officers.
Ky Moffet will demo setting up a Win98/WinXP dual boot, and more utilities.

October 2006: Dan Kozina of Complete Computer Care will demo Windows Vista.
Nominations for new officers. If you want to help out, run for office!!

September 2006: How to clean up an older or messed-up Windows machine.

August 2006: Bring your questions and answers -- anything about computers!

July 2006: Kevin Hirschbuehler will demo "How the heck do I use this newfangled digital camera, anyway?" and Ky Moffet will demo utilities (planned: Partition Magic, Win98/WinXP dual boot, EasyCleaner registry scrubber)

June 2006: Q&A, demonstration of the effect of different paper types on photo printing.

March 2006: Dan Kozina of Complete Computer Care will give a presentation.

February 2006 Workshops: Kevin Hirschbuehler will continue his series on digital photography with "Now that I've taken some pictures, how do I edit them??" and Ky Moffet will talk about "How to buy the right computer."

January Meetings are shifted by one week due to maintenance at the Senior Center. This month, Kevin Hirschbuehler will give a presentation on "Now that I've got a digital camera, what do I do with it??"

Special Events

Sept. 16, 2006 Our e-recycler, Off Lease Clearing House, Inc, at 824 W. Ave. L-6 Suite D (off 10th Street West) is sponsoring a "drop off day" this Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Mr. Willie Gillan said he will raffle off a Pentium-4 Computer/monitor with Windows XP. If you have discarded electronic gear that needs to go to the recycle center, Saturday would be a good to drop itoff. You can fill out a raffle ticket - you don't have to be present to win, and they are FREE! Hotdogs and soda will also be available.

It would be nice if you mention you are from AVMUG, so we can maintain good relations with our recycler. If you win, please let me know so we can make an announcement in our newsletter.
